Once in a while when work gets on your nerves, family is irritating the snot out of you and you just need to get out of your own head, apps can come in handy.
These 6 are some of our favorite apps for winding down at the end of the day or just zoning out when the workload keeps on piling up.
1. Flow Free
There is something soothing about connecting dots and exercising that spatial part of your brain once in a while. Flow Free is a free app and a great one for relaxing with at the end of the day.
2. Angry Birds Star Wars Edition
Frustrated with work? Why not entertain your inner Star Wars geek while blowing up little piggies with angry birds dressed like Star Wars characters? You may not be able to tell your boss what you really think but you can pretend he’s one of those annoying green pigs.
3. Doodle Jump
Doodle Jump is a hit or miss game depending on how you like to relax. The fun part of this game is that you tip your iPad to make the little doodle jump from platform to platform. The not so fun part is when he keeps falling off and your game lasts all of 5 seconds.
4. Running (With Friends) HD
Running with Friends is a little bit like a scaled down version of Sonic the Hedgehog. You don’t have to run as fast and the picture is a lot bigger. This is a low key game that involves running on tracks while collecting stars and avoiding bulls.
5. 4 Pics 1 Word
If word games are your idea of relaxing then you might find 4 Pics 1 Word to be fun. The premise? You get four pictures that have one word in common. The more you play, the more challenging the words get.
6. Jigsaw Puzzle
Jigsaw Puzzle is the epitome of relaxation. Just choose the number of pieces you want, set whether you want pieces to rotate and start putting puzzles together. The most frustrating part about this app though is that you have to purchase add on’s if you really want to challenge yourself or get some variety.
