If you’re anything like us, you hate wasting stuff knowing that there has to be another purpose for them. For example, take an empty CD spindle. Once you’ve used all of the CD’s and distributed them (or lost them) what are you to do with the empty spindle? It seems useful enough. How about as a cool little Tupperware-like container to carry around a bagel?
Not only is it perfect sized, but it should keep your bagel air-tight from bacteria until consumption. And best of all, no wasted stuff! — Andrew Dobrow

Great idea, however it will not be an airtight storage, nor will it do much to prevent bacteria growth. Refrigerate for safety!
You. are. a. genius.
Can someone confirm if these are dishwasher safe. I don’t want to have to hand wash cream cheese off of my CD spindle after I take my bagel sandwich to work every day for a week.
@belinda
none the less, it will do tons better than a container or zip lock baggie to keep it all together
Crush-proof!
Well not a very good idea due to the fact plastic spindles are mostly made in China and they love using lead. If I’m not mistaken you have to make sure its ROHS compliant, if that stamp is on the box then there is no lead.
