Sugru is Flubber for hacking things better

Perhaps the most useful�and certainly the most whimsical�pick on Time‘s list of the 50 Best Inventions of 2010, Sugru is a moldable, self-adhesive, self-curing silicone elastomer. That doesn’t sound whimsical? Then you haven’t watched the video yet. Devised for “hacking stuff better,” Sugru can be molded by hand into kitchen implements, bicycle gear-switchers, and tool handles; you can baby-proof a table or waterproof a bag with it, too. Invented by Jane N� Dhulchaointigh, an Irish sculptor, Sugru’s name means “play” in Gaelic. Evidently there’s no Gaelic word for “Flubber.”
