An interesting concept was discussed today at the Yearly Kos conference in Chicago. The subject of bloggers becoming unionized is an idea that has sure rolled through the heads of many pro-bloggers. The National Writers’ Union, which currently represents freelance writers, agrees that bloggers are the perfect crowd for a unionized group.
While it seems like a good idea, what would be the prerequisites needed to be a member of a blogger union? Some argue that those who are deeply engorged in the “netroots” of the blogging community could serve on such a group, though others think anyone willing to choke up the yearly fees could be welcome. What’s your take on the whole thing? — Andrew Dobrow
