While it’s hard to take most tech rumors seriously, this one at least comes from a reliable source. Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins says to have spoke to some high-level cellphone officials, and apparently has the low-down on some previously unknown gPhone info.
Rizzn claims that T-Mobile has earned the rights to service for the Google phone. He also says that the gPhone will be built on an all open-source Linux platform, and will be manufactured by HTC, not surprising since HTC seems to be right on top of phone technology. Rumored price for the phone is around $400. Though doubts are now filling our minds as he also says the phone will be announced by October 5th. Well, only two days until you lose some reliability. — Andrew Dobrow

please, let’s enable this phone with as much touch screen functionality as possible…( i realize the above photo isn’t going to be the gphone) and while we are at it, make it lighter than the iphone (realizing that the weight is due in part to the screen being GLASS)
