When it comes to food, America is not exactly known worldwide for our “deliciously healthy meals.” While certainly there are a number of healthy gourmet meals out there, unfortunately the US is a little more associated with some of the most heartstoppingly awful foods ever.
Let’s take a look at 5 of the most unhealthy foods that you have ever seen!
1. The Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheese Pie with Bacon Lattice
This has to be one of the unhealthiest but slightly delicious looking foods out there. The problem is, is that beyond all of that fat and carb content, this pie combines two of our favorite comfort foods – man ‘n cheese and bacon. We’re not even going to guess at the calorie count on this one.
2. Denny’s Fried Cheese Melt
We’ll let you in on a little secret (one that many of you will likely see as blasphemy). We don’t like cheese all that much. That is part of why the very idea of the Denny’s Fried Cheese Melt makes us want to hurl. The calorie content, fat content, carbs…we could go on forever, but the bottom line is, all that cheese is NEVER a good idea.
#3. Velveeta Fudge Squares
…for the love of God, WHY?!
#4. The “Dr. Phil”
What is this, you ask? Good question, because we weren’t all that sure either. According to the minds that came up with this hideous concoction it’s “One double-wrapped Chipotle burrito filled with rice, pinto beans, chicken, fresh tomato salsa, corn, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and guacamole, wrapped inside of a cheese pizza topped with more fresh tomato salsa, corn chips, curly fries, and jalapeno bites, garnished with two sticks of chocolate and almond pocky.” No thanks guys, we’ll be leaving this one to you.
5. Triflebetes
We readily admit that we have a sweet tooth but this one takes it just a little too far. What is in it? Jaimie, it’s creator says “A trifle dessert whose layers from top to bottom include: sugar crystals, cotton candy, Butterfinger pieces, melted Caramels, Twinkies, peanut butter mousse, Rice Krispy treats, chocolate syrup, melted candy bar, peppermint cookies, Girl Scout Thin Mints, white chocolate pudding, Crème Horns, melted butterscotch and Brownies.”
