Tokyo’s Team SCHAFT has been named the winner of the DARPA Robotics Challenge after two days of grueling competition!
Miami hosted the DARPA Robotics Challenge that took two days of competition which involved eight individual challenges. Each team had the potential to earn a total of 32 points and Team SCHAFT totaled in at 27 points! The next closest competitor was team IHMC Robotics who totaled 20 points. Under Team SCHAFT and IHMC Robotics the remaining top five competitors were Tartan Rescue (18 points), MIT (16 points) and Robosimian (14 points).
The final chapter of the DARPA Robotics Challenge will come in 2014 and we can’t wait to see the outcome!
