The first part of 2018 impressed all gamers with the variety of games that were launched. The year is over but more games are about to disrupt the world of players. The recent launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey left everyone impressed. The long-running series never ceases to impress players all over the world, and this was not the only game that mesmerized Xbox fans. Everyone should get ready for future online casino games launches. Moreover, Microsoft just released some spicy information related to the Xbox One consoles – the company’s revenue has grown to almost $3 billion in the last quarter. For each quarter, Microsoft seems to gain almost 40% more profit than the last. The great news made Xbox fans happy and more interested in what Microsoft is going to launch next.
Keeping up with the future game releases can be tiring at times, considering that so many games are on their way in 2019. The prices are considerable as well since most pre-order games cost around $50. This is a short list of the most expected games for what’s left of 2018 and 2019:
Metro: Exodus
Since the initial launch of the Metro series in 2010, the game has received many positive reviews and enthusiastic feedback from the players. 4A Games Limited launched Metro 2033 first, which was followed by Metro: Last Light, Metro Redux, Arktika, which was only available on PC and, finally, the developer decided to announce the grand launch of Metro Exodus, in 2019. The series continues the story which was first adopted in Metro 2033, based on Glukhovsky trilogy. After the events that happened in 2033, Metro: Exodus takes place two years later, in 2036.
Since Last Light beautifully ended and left room for many speculations regarding the continuation of the story, Exodus enlightens the players. The most interesting feature of the new Exodus game is represented by the weapon system that is completely revamped now. New mechanics, new systems, new looks – the features are perfect for first-person shooter lovers. Of course, not enough features have been revealed yet, so players must patiently wait until the first quarter of 2019.
Cyberpunk 2077
The very first peek at Cyberpunk 2077 happened in 2012. The past six years were full of patience for the people who are truly interested in what this game has to offer. Finally, a demo was launched and people were able to see how the game evolved in these six years. Gamescom participants were truly mesmerized about what Cyberpunk 2077 had to offer. People don’t know yet what Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be about, but one can speculate. Gaming lovers say that Cyberpunk is a first-person shooter RPG, which sounds quite exciting considering that this is a giant game, longer and bigger than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game might launch sometime in 2019, but nothing is certain yet. Fans must keep an eye on the progress of CD Projekt to find out more about the game.
Biomutant
Post-apocalyptic games are quite popular these days. Both Metro and Cyberpunk are placed in the not-so-far future, when the world people know is somehow altered, either negatively or positively, and they are not the only ones. Biomutant is another post-apocalyptic game, where the universe is governed by other creatures from what players might be used with at the moment. Biomutant is an open-world RPG and it involves both exploration and combat. The setting is unique and people expect the launch soon. The game will be played from a third-person perspective and the combat options are very diverse and filled with all sorts of nuances.
Generation Zero
Generation Zero is a game developed by Avalanche Studios, who previously launched Mad Max, the 2015 video game success. Id Software and Avalanche Studios are going to pair up for launching Rage 2, for the fans of the first game. More than that, Avalanche announces that Generation Zero will be self-published. It is an open-world game where the time frame stops around the 80s. What people know about this game until now is that four kids fight mechanized monsters, as seen from the presentation image and the trailer. Generation Zero is also expected somewhere around 2019 and it seems to bring a series of amazing features to the table. All sorts of games are launched during 2019, so players expect diversity, both in terms of story and gameplay. Generation Zero meets both expectations, so players should keep an eye on preorders.
Halo: Infinite
If you did enjoy Halo 5: Guardians in 2015, then you must be hyped about this future release that was presented during E3 2018. Halo: Infinite comes with a fresh look on Master Chief’s story, including Cortana. The game might be a little bit more emotional compared to the original trilogy that players got used to. This is not a bad thing, though. The team at 343 Industries has a very promising approach considering the trilogy’s continuation, and people patiently expect some details regarding where the story is going. The next few months are expected to bring new information regarding Halo Infinite, so players should stay tuned.
Anthem
Remember Mass Effect: Andromeda? People were not so happy with it, considering the previous success of the series. What players don’t know is that BioWare was secretly working on another game that is extremely impressive. Anthem was revealed during 2018 and the cinematic trailer the developers launched during EA Play was an absolute blast. The initial release of Anthem was scheduled for late 2018, but the date moved to February 2019. Anthem is a shared-world shooter that is quite alike Destiny 2. The combat in Anthem is third-person, also resembling the mechanics in Destiny 2. Anthem will also contain a lot of looting. Mark Darrah, the executive producer of the game, announced that it will contain microtransactions, but the purchases won’t offer players gameplay advantages. Vanity items, as BioWare calls them, only include skins, emotes or armors, which are only purposed to personalize the character.
