A Heat Sensor For Your iPhone?

Have you ever really wanted heat vision on your iPhone? Or maybe you’ve always wanted a pair of night vision goggles but didn’t want to walk around looking like an idiot? Well now you can get heat vision for your iPhone with FLIR.

FLIR stands for Forward-Looking Infrared and last week FLIR released a prototype of the FLIR technology for the mobile phone. The sled as it is being referred to is more of a concept at the moment and there is no news as to whether the sled will be released for consumer use just yet. The max resolution of the sled core is 640 x 480 and it features a 9-mm lens, that according to FLIR CEO Andrew Teich could “spot a person at about 300 yards.”
