Soomi Park’s Digital Veil Project works on one of the major world wide epidemics…plastic surgery. Covering the face with an LCD device which displays black and white animations in conjunction with the human face, the screen takes the focus off of facial beauty, while incorporating dynamic animation.
That is sure a mouth full, but doesn’t it look really cool…whatever it is? I guess the whole idea of mixing beauty and technology with the goal of achieving a less attractive product is a pretty cool concept. Two items which are supposed to display beauty, both working against each other. Then again, I could be totally missing the point. Plus, couldn’t you see Morpheus wearing something like this in a Matrix prequel or something? — Andrew Dobrow
