Sometimes you hear about a story that just makes you feel good inside. This is definitely one of them. Behold Terry Garrett. He is a blind gamer who has done something incredible: beaten Abe’s Exoddus.
That may not sound like a huge achievement right away, but one must consider that he is completely blind. Garrett managed to beat the game using nothing more than audio cues and frequent use of the quick-save functionality. In the below video, which has made its rounds online in the past couple of days, Garrett explains how he uses his keen attention to sound to play the game:
While on a basic human level this is an astonishing feat, on another level I can’t help but be slightly resentful for beating a game that I haven’t yet.
