The GPS Receiver for the PSP will launch Thursday in Japan, for a price of $60. Why do you want GPS on your PSP? Because you keep getting lost walking aimlessly around the world while playing your PSP, of course! Wait, you don’t get lost walking around the world? Well, then you could Geocache! Have fun playing your PSP while trying to find those millions of little hidden secrets that other people with a GPS set up for your pleasure. Aside from the purely GPS functionality, it also ties in to some console games (whoda thunk?) including: “Minna no Golf-jou,” “Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops,” “Planetarium Creator Ohira Takayuki Kanshuu: Home Star Portable,” and “Navigation Soft.” The actual unit looks fairly nice with its transparent antennae, but it does stick out a bit (it’s 41mm long).
