A group of Japanese students from Tsukuba University have joined forces and used their stereotypical super math skills to create the Rajiu Coat, a garment that simulates the feel of a woman’s arm wrapped around you from behind.
Artificial arms attached to the back of the coat use motors and computer programming to let vulnerable, fragile, lonely Japanese boys feel that maybe, one day, these loving arms won’t have to be forced to embrace them by a piece of machinery. Ahh, hugs… just like Mommy used to give before she dropped me at the orphanage.
