Google makes headlines again as they get their hands on yet another company and this time it’s AI company, DeepMind.
London based artificial intelligence company, DeepMind, might have been on the minds of Facebook last year, but rumor has it that the company was recently snagged by Google. Google picked up the company for a cool $500 million.
The acquisition of DeepMind is another addition for the expanding ranks of Google and will help to broaden the AI segment of the company.
DeepMind itself seems to be something of a mystery in terms of what they bring to the table however. The company’s 75 employees who focus on building general purpose algorithms, will soon be taking their broadly described skills to the Google team as Google seeks to create a more intelligent and deep thinking online experience.
