London based design firm Conran and Partners has taken an old acoustic guitar and repurposed it as a unique iPod dock / stereo combo in preparation for this week’s Deptford Design Market Challenge (London: September 15-27th). The goal is to redesign discarded thrift store objects into something new and exciting – and by the looks of things this hack manages to do just that.
Unfortunately, there are no instructions available on how to pull this off yourself – but it shouldn’t prove too difficult for anyone with some basic skills. At the very least it might inspire you to recycle some junk and start a project of your own. Sean Fallon
