Microsoft Offering Freebies to Bribe You to Use Internet Explorer 9

It’s no secret that the Internet Explorer browser has been rapidly losing popularity over other browsers like Firefox and Google Chrome. Most people like the additional functionality offered by other browsers, as well as the ability to use addons and extensions.

Well, it looks like Microsoft is attempting to revive interest in their browser — by offering you a bunch of free stuff in exchange for using it. If you download Internet Explorer 9, you’ll be rewarded with freebies like these:

• A 3 month subscription to Slacker Premium Radio
• 3 months of AOL Radio for Free
• Other freebies from Huli, Flixster, Zynga, Pandora, Grooveshark and Vimeo (to be announced later)

It’ll be interesting to see if this promotion actually helps to revive interest in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser.
