New photographs compared to older photographs of Mars’ surface show evidence that water once flowed, or still does flow on the Red Planet. The Mars Orbital Camera shows deposits like would be seen from a stream of water or urine, but the lack of life proves otherwise. The Surveying Camera has taken hundreds of photos of craters and gullies that dot the surface of the desert-like planet.
Because of the extreme low temperatures of the Mars surface, any water that was able to crack through the surface would either freeze quickly, evaporate, or get drank by the 30 foot Mars monster. Looking at the pictures is actually pretty cool, being able to see the difference between the 7 years. — Andrew Dobrow
