The “Natalie Collection” birth simulator might look like something of a strange contraption but it is believed that this device could save millions of babies every year!
The birth simulator was developed by Norwegian company Laerdal Global Health, as an intiative to increase awareness about potential complications during birth among the healthcare community. Specifically targeted at midwives and birth assistants, the system gives a hands on approach to the childbirth process and is being recognized with one of the most prestigious design awards, the 2013 INDEX: Award.
