Nighttime groove: The Books, “Smells Like Content”

The many links to that sublime video of the Atlanta aquarium put me in a mind to revisit this slightly more estranging take on aquatic imagery from The Books. “Meanwhile we’re furiously sleeping green… the map has started tearing along its creases” …there’s a Chomsky reference and a Borges allusion for you; add the fish and the formic acid, and this track offers more than enough science, technology, and culture to satisfy us. That, and the vibe is right.
