Apple has officially confirmed that Mac OS X Leopard will hit store shelves on Friday, October 26th starting at 6pm. Steve Jobs is calling it “the best upgrade we have ever released” and with new features like the redesigned 3D Dock with Stacks, Time Machine, Spaces, Quick Look as well as updated Finder, Mail, and iChat– he just might be right.
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard will retail for $129 for a single user license and $199 for a “family pack” five user license. Those wishing to secure their copy now can do so via pre-order on the Apple Store starting today. —Sean Fallon
