Projectors are great because they are a lot cheaper than getting a flat screen of the same size (100″ anyone?). The only problem is that when somebody passes in front of the machine, they have to cast an annoying shadow over your movie or your presentation. Well, Sanyo might just have solved the problem today by revamping the optics. Jump to find out more.
Actually this is not a new idea, and somebody should have figured this out earlier; by reflecting and bending the light within the projector, the image is allowed to diverge in a compressed distance; and by playing with the angle, the device can be placed as close as 8cm in front of the wall. So no more kicking lines and casting shadows. You would have to wait till late December and pay $5,000 for that.
