Suicidal attempt broadcasted and aborted, in 3G style

Here’s another story of how technology can make the world a better place. Supposedly this 43 year-old lady in Hong Kong was trying to kill herself after a break-up. She got it all planned out, and even bought barbeque charcoal to burn in her room, but she got so excited that she decided to share it with her drop dead gorgeous 20 year old boy-space-friend live on 3G (videoconferencing). Guess what, her goodlooking friend isn’t too loyal to her afterall, and called up the police behind her back. Thanks to the excellent 3G network coverage, her little project was called off. —Sam Chan
