Just wait until the boys over at Jackass get their hands on this. TASER has developed a new weapon to add to their arsenal of non-lethal defense. The new Extended Range Electronic Projectile (XREP) is made to launch through a 12-gauge shotgun, and is the first TASER device to be completely wireless.
The XREP is a electrically-charged shell that can incapacitate subjects up to 30 yards away, over three times further than the standard TASER stun gun. The half-ounce shells would provide an easier outlet for law officers to use a non-lethal method of apprehension. Use of TASER guns has come under scrutiny because of its supposed inhuman results. Maybe the XREP will help clear some of that up. — Andrew Dobrow
