This Holiday, Amazon claims that their Kindle Fire tablet is one of the “most wished-for” items on everyone’s Christmas list. While this may be true, it is important not to get distracted by the Kindle Fire’s low price tag — there is a reason why it costs roughly half of other tablets on the market. That being said, the Kindle Fire has gotten some extremely good reviews, especially among tablet enthusiasts who have already purchased the device.
Ubergizmo has taken the time to review the Kindle Fire, and there aren’t really any surprises. It’s a basic tablet, but one that performs most of the functions you want out of a portable computing device anyway. While some features — notably Bluetooth and a microSD slot — would have been nice to have, their omission doesn’t really affect the value of the tablet overall.
